Thathi is a village of Amritsar I tehsil in Amritsar district, Punjab, in the Majha region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Jandiala, about 3 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Jandiala Guru community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 037544, and it covers 168 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,439 people in Thathi: 777 men and 662 women, living in 268 households, an average of about 5.4 people per household. Spread over its 168 hectares, the population density works out to about 857 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 852 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 166, about 12 per cent of the village.
