Population and households

The 2011 census counted 4,167 people in Dhilwan (Patiala): 2,238 men and 1,929 women, living in 758 households, an average of about 5.5 people per household. Spread over its 1,563 hectares, the population density works out to about 267 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 862 women for every 1,000 men.
