Where is Kalian Malka?

Kalian Malka is a village of Bathinda tehsil in Bathinda district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Bathinda, about 15 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Nathana community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 035716, and it covers 822 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,778 people in Kalian Malka: 938 men and 840 women, living in 309 households, an average of about 5.8 people per household. Spread over its 822 hectares, the population density works out to about 216 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 896 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 182, about 10 per cent of the village.
