Bhamian is a village of Khamanon tehsil in Fatehgarh Sahib district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Khamanon, about 6 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Khamanon community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 032935, and it covers 373 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 994 people in Bhamian: 522 men and 472 women, living in 181 households, an average of about 5.5 people per household. Spread over its 373 hectares, the population density works out to about 266 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 904 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 84, about 8 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 372 people, about 37 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
