Where is Himmatgarh?

Himmatgarh is a village of Amloh tehsil in Fatehgarh Sahib district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Amloh, about 11 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Amloh community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 032842, and it covers 358 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 204 people in Himmatgarh: 110 men and 94 women, living in 44 households, an average of about 4.6 people per household. Spread over its 358 hectares, the population density works out to about 57 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 855 women for every 1,000 men. Amloh, the tehsil headquarters, and Fatehgarh Sahib, the district headquarters, are the practical hubs for administration and onward travel. Neighbouring villages include Faizulapura, Ghutind, Tangrala and Kalal Majra.
