Main Majri is a village in Bassi Pathana tehsil of Fatehgarh Sahib district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Bassi Pathana, about 9 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Bassi Pathana community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 032558, and it covers 343 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,027 people in Main Majri: 531 men and 496 women, living in 185 households, an average of about 5.6 people per household. Spread over its 343 hectares, the population density works out to about 299 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 934 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 96, about 9 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 382 people, about 37 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
