Mehmudpur is a village of Amloh tehsil in Fatehgarh Sahib district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Amloh, about 12 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Amloh community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 032838, and it covers 157 hectares.

The 2011 census counted 553 people in Mehmudpur: 297 men and 256 women, living in 112 households, an average of about 4.9 people per household.
