Where is Raipur?

Raipur is a village of Khamanon tehsil in Fatehgarh Sahib district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Gobindgarh, about 13 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Khamanon community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 032912, and it covers 202 hectares.

The 2011 census counted 829 people in Raipur: 445 men and 384 women, living in 164 households, an average of about 5.1 people per household.
