It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Guru Har Sahai, about 10 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The 2011 census counted 342 people in Chak Khundar: 176 men and 166 women, living in 71 households, an average of about 4.8 people per household.
