Where is Padri?

Padri is a village of Firozpur tehsil in Ferozepur district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Firozpur, about 8 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Firozpur community development block and is served by the Padhari gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 034599, and it covers 41 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 326 people in Padri: 164 men and 162 women, living in 61 households, an average of about 5.3 people per household. Spread over its 41 hectares, the population density works out to about 790 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 988 women for every 1,000 men.
