Where is Rasulpur?

Rasulpur is a village of Zira tehsil in Ferozepur district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Makhu, about 3 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Makhu community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 034277, and it covers 196 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,514 people in Rasulpur: 823 men and 691 women, living in 329 households, an average of about 4.6 people per household. Spread over its 196 hectares, the population density works out to about 773 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 840 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 185, about 12 per cent of the village.
