Where is Galowal?

Galowal is a village of Dasua tehsil in Hoshiarpur district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Dasua, about 12 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Dasua community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 030774, and it covers 335 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 646 people in Galowal: 322 men and 324 women, living in 115 households, an average of about 5.6 people per household.
