Where is Sandar?

Sandar is a village in Dinanagar tehsil of Gurdaspur district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Majha region, and the 2011 directory recorded Dinanagar, about 12 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Dorangala community development block and is served by the Sultani gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 027840, and it covers 43 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 378 people in Sandar: 183 men and 195 women, living in 72 households, an average of about 5.2 people per household.
