Shahpur Araian is a village of Batala tehsil in Gurdaspur district, Punjab, in the Majha region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Qadian, about 12 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The 2011 census counted 366 people in Shahpur Araian: 172 men and 194 women, living in 80 households, an average of about 4.6 people per household.
