Bagol Kalan is a village in Dasua tehsil of Hoshiarpur district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Doaba region, and the 2011 directory recorded Urmar Tanda, about 8 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Tanda community development block and is served by the Bagol--Kalan gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 030808, and it covers 121 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 284 people in Bagol Kalan: 153 men and 131 women, living in 59 households, an average of about 4.8 people per household. Spread over its 121 hectares, the population density works out to about 235 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 856 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 43, about 15 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 232 people, about 82 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.

Literacy in 2011 stood at 83.4 per cent among residents aged seven and above, with men at 89.23 per cent and women at 76.58 per cent. The census recorded 157 workers, about 55 per cent of the village. A further 59 people were marginal workers, employed for only part of the year.
