The village falls in the Hoshiarpur-I community development block and is served by the Chak--Gujran gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 031568, and it covers 246 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,283 people in Chak Gujran: 661 men and 622 women, living in 294 households, an average of about 4.4 people per household. Spread over its 246 hectares, the population density works out to about 522 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 941 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 133, about 10 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 1,052 people, about 82 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
