Where is Galowal?

Galowal is a village of Dasua tehsil in Hoshiarpur district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Hoshiarpur, about 20 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Bhunga community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 030888, and it covers 133 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 481 people in Galowal: 235 men and 246 women, living in 102 households, an average of about 4.7 people per household.
