Kaluwal is a village of Dasua tehsil in Hoshiarpur district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Dasua, about 7 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Dasua community development block and is served by the Kaluwal-- gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 031008, and it covers 88 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 322 people in Kaluwal: 153 men and 169 women, living in 63 households, an average of about 5.1 people per household. Spread over its 88 hectares, the population density works out to about 366 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1105 women for every 1,000 men.
