Mohanwal is a village in Garhshankar tehsil of Hoshiarpur district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Doaba region, and the 2011 directory recorded Garhshankar, about 3 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Garhshankar community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 031970, and it covers 114 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 815 people in Mohanwal: 407 men and 408 women, living in 172 households, an average of about 4.7 people per household. Spread over its 114 hectares, the population density works out to about 715 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1002 women for every 1,000 men.
