Where is Sagran?

Sagran is a village of Dasua tehsil in Hoshiarpur district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Dasua, about 4 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Dasua community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 031001, and it covers 221 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 862 people in Sagran: 426 men and 436 women, living in 181 households, an average of about 4.8 people per household. Spread over its 221 hectares, the population density works out to about 390 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 1023 women for every 1,000 men.
