Aliwal is a village of Shahkot tehsil in Jalandhar district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Lohian Khass, about 8 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The 2011 census counted 359 people in Aliwal: 193 men and 166 women, living in 64 households, an average of about 5.6 people per household.
