Lesariwala is a village of Jalandhar East tehsil in Jalandhar district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Alawalpur, about 1 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Adampur community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 030330, and it covers 389 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 2,217 people in Lesariwala: 1,165 men and 1,052 women, living in 468 households, an average of about 4.7 people per household. Spread over its 389 hectares, the population density works out to about 570 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 903 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 258, about 12 per cent of the village.
