Where is Sultanpur?

Sultanpur is a village of Phillaur tehsil in Jalandhar district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Phillaur, about 13 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Phillaur community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 030125, and it covers 202 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 761 people in Sultanpur: 383 men and 378 women, living in 163 households, an average of about 4.7 people per household.
