It lies in the Doaba region, and the 2011 directory recorded Sultanpur Lodhi, about 13 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Sultanpur Lodhi community development block and is served by the Ahli Kalan gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 029534, and it covers 234 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 412 people in Ahli Khurd: 226 men and 186 women, living in 74 households, an average of about 5.6 people per household. Spread over its 234 hectares, the population density works out to about 176 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 823 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 53, about 13 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 189 people, about 46 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
