Where is Sangra?

Sangra is a village of Sultanpur Lodhi tehsil in Kapurthala district, Punjab, in the Doaba region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Sultanpur Lodhi, about 12 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Sultanpur Lodhi community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 029452, and it covers 107 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 194 people in Sangra: 104 men and 90 women, living in 33 households, an average of about 5.9 people per household. Spread over its 107 hectares, the population density works out to about 181 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 865 women for every 1,000 men.
