Shadipur is a village in Bhulath tehsil of Kapurthala district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Doaba region, and the 2011 directory recorded Bhulath, about 9 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Nadala community development block and is served by the Mehmadpur gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 029091, and it covers 260 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 247 people in Shadipur: 131 men and 116 women, living in 55 households, an average of about 4.5 people per household. Spread over its 260 hectares, the population density works out to about 95 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 885 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 36, about 15 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 187 people, about 76 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
