Where is Acharwal?

Acharwal is a village of Raikot tehsil in Ludhiana district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Raikot, about 10 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Raikot community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 033752, and it covers 494 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,557 people in Acharwal: 831 men and 726 women, living in 337 households, an average of about 4.6 people per household.
