Where is Isapur?

Isapur is a village in Samrala tehsil of Ludhiana district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Machhiwara, about 15 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Machhiwara community development block and is served by the Ishapur gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 033003, and it covers 43 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 572 people in Isapur: 309 men and 263 women, living in 89 households, an average of about 6.4 people per household. Spread over its 43 hectares, the population density works out to about 1,330 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 851 women for every 1,000 men.
