Where is Fatehgarh?

Fatehgarh is a village of Samrala tehsil in Ludhiana district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Machhiwara, about 15 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Machhiwara community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 032982, and it covers 168 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 740 people in Fatehgarh: 383 men and 357 women, living in 128 households, an average of about 5.8 people per household.
