Where is Khanpur?

Khanpur is a village of Samrala tehsil in Ludhiana district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Machhiwara, about 16 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Machhiwara community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 032988, and it covers 176 hectares.

The 2011 census counted 328 people in Khanpur: 172 men and 156 women, living in 58 households, an average of about 5.7 people per household.
