Where is Sirthala?

Sirthala is a village of Payal tehsil in Ludhiana district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Payal, about 14 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Doraha community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 033258, and it covers 777 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 2,058 people in Sirthala: 1,073 men and 985 women, living in 389 households, an average of about 5.3 people per household. Children up to the age of six numbered 231, about 11 per cent of the village.
