Where is Adamke?

Adamke is a village in Sardulgarh tehsil of Mansa district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Sardulgarh, about 8 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Sardulgarh community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 035969, and it covers 675 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 2,079 people in Adamke: 1,119 men and 960 women, living in 395 households, an average of about 5.3 people per household. Spread over its 675 hectares, the population density works out to about 308 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 858 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 260, about 13 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 704 people, about 34 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
