Population and households

The 2011 census counted 10,852 people in Nihal Singhwala: 5,746 men and 5,106 women, living in 2,045 households, an average of about 5.3 people per household. Spread over its 510 hectares, the population density works out to about 2,126 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 889 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 1,246, about 11 per cent of the village.
