Umariana is a village of Dharamkot tehsil in Moga district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Zira, about 11 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Dharamkot community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 034080, and it covers 271 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 711 people in Umariana: 377 men and 334 women, living in 116 households, an average of about 6.1 people per household.
