Where is Bhagwal?

Bhagwal is a village of Pathankot tehsil in Pathankot district, Punjab, in the Majha region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Pathankot, about 24 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Narot Jaimal Singh community development block and is served by the Jaitpur gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 027718, and it covers 96 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 358 people in Bhagwal: 188 men and 170 women, living in 58 households, an average of about 6.2 people per household. Spread over its 96 hectares, the population density works out to about 373 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 904 women for every 1,000 men.
