Where is Bapraur?

Bapraur is a village in Rajpura tehsil of Patiala district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Ambala, about 15 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Ghanaur community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 036944, and it covers 392 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 2,271 people in Bapraur: 1,226 men and 1,045 women, living in 435 households, an average of about 5.2 people per household. Spread over its 392 hectares, the population density works out to about 579 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 852 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 295, about 13 per cent of the village.
