Where is Bugga Khurd?

Bugga Khurd is a village of Nabha tehsil in Patiala district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Bhadson, about 18 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Nabha community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 036420, and it covers 227 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 776 people in Bugga Khurd: 413 men and 363 women, living in 159 households, an average of about 4.9 people per household. Spread over its 227 hectares, the population density works out to about 342 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 879 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 73, about 9 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 383 people, about 49 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
