The 2011 census counted 1,370 people in Ghanauri Khera: 746 men and 624 women, living in 266 households, an average of about 5.2 people per household. Spread over its 153 hectares, the population density works out to about 895 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 836 women for every 1,000 men.
