Where is Ghurama Kalan?

Ghurama Kalan is a village of Rajpura tehsil in Patiala district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Rajpura, about 14 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Rajpura community development block and is served by the Ghurma Kalan gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 037067, and it covers 269 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,355 people in Ghurama Kalan: 743 men and 612 women, living in 261 households, an average of about 5.2 people per household. Children up to the age of six numbered 132, about 10 per cent of the village.
