Where is Kakapur?

Kakapur is a village of Patiala tehsil in Patiala district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Sanaur, about 12 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Sanaur community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 036628, and it covers 78 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 453 people in Kakapur: 235 men and 218 women, living in 80 households, an average of about 5.7 people per household.
