Where is Kakrala?

Kakrala is a village of Patiala tehsil in Patiala district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Patiala, about 12 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Patiala community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 036598, and it covers 326 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 788 people in Kakrala: 422 men and 366 women, living in 158 households, an average of about 5.0 people per household. Spread over its 326 hectares, the population density works out to about 242 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 867 women for every 1,000 men.
