Where is Thakargarh?

Thakargarh is a village of Patiala tehsil in Patiala district, Punjab, in the Malwa region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Sanaur, about 12 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Bhunerheri community development block and is served by the Thakrgarh gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 036619, and it covers 117 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 209 people in Thakargarh: 111 men and 98 women, living in 43 households, an average of about 4.9 people per household. Spread over its 117 hectares, the population density works out to about 179 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 883 women for every 1,000 men.
