Where is Todarwal?

Todarwal is a village in Nabha tehsil of Patiala district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Malwa region, and the 2011 directory recorded Nabha, about 14 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Nabha community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 036401, and it covers 285 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,030 people in Todarwal: 547 men and 483 women, living in 212 households, an average of about 4.9 people per household. Spread over its 285 hectares, the population density works out to about 361 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 883 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 114, about 11 per cent of the village. Nabha, the tehsil headquarters, and Patiala, the district headquarters, are the practical hubs for administration and onward travel. Neighbouring villages include Babarpur, Nauhra, Uplan and Shivgarh.
