Chahar Majra is a village in Anandpur Sahib tehsil of Rupnagar district in Punjab, India. It lies in the Puadh region, and the 2011 directory recorded Anandpur Sahib, about 14 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Nurpur Bedi community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 038451, and it covers 123 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 692 people in Chahar Majra: 357 men and 335 women, living in 133 households, an average of about 5.2 people per household. Spread over its 123 hectares, the population density works out to about 563 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 938 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 64, about 9 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 179 people, about 26 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
