Sangatpur is a village of Nangal tehsil in Rupnagar district, Punjab, in the Puadh region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Nangal, about 6 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Anandpur Sahib community development block and is served by the Sangat Pur gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 038548, and it covers 220 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 754 people in Sangatpur: 385 men and 369 women, living in 138 households, an average of about 5.5 people per household. Spread over its 220 hectares, the population density works out to about 343 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 958 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 74, about 10 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 70 people, about 9 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
