Population and households

The 2011 census counted 1,393 people in Bijanpur: 747 men and 646 women, living in 202 households, an average of about 6.9 people per household. Spread over its 416 hectares, the population density works out to about 335 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 865 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 166, about 12 per cent of the village. Scheduled Castes made up 175 people, about 13 per cent of the population, and no Scheduled Tribe population was recorded.
