Malikpur is a village of Kharar tehsil in SAS Nagar district, Punjab, in the Puadh region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Kharar, about 7 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Kharar community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 039112, and it covers 122 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 893 people in Malikpur: 480 men and 413 women, living in 148 households, an average of about 6.0 people per household. Spread over its 122 hectares, the population density works out to about 732 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 860 women for every 1,000 men.
