Johal Dhaiwala is a village of Khadur Sahib tehsil in Tarn Taran district, Punjab, in the Majha region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Patti, about 18 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The village falls in the Chohla Sahib community development block and has its own gram panchayat. In the census record it carries village code 038247, and it covers 746 hectares.

Population and households

The 2011 census counted 2,288 people in Johal Dhaiwala: 1,180 men and 1,108 women, living in 414 households, an average of about 5.5 people per household. Spread over its 746 hectares, the population density works out to about 307 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 939 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 313, about 14 per cent of the village.
