Kot Data is a village of Patti tehsil in Tarn Taran district, Punjab, in the Majha region of the state. The 2011 directory recorded Patti, about 9 kilometres away, as its nearest town. The 2011 census counted 1,167 people in Kot Data: 629 men and 538 women, living in 216 households, an average of about 5.4 people per household.
