The 2011 census counted 3,762 people in Sarhali Mandan: 1,962 men and 1,800 women, living in 644 households, an average of about 5.8 people per household. Spread over its 836 hectares, the population density works out to about 450 people per square kilometre. The sex ratio was 917 women for every 1,000 men. Children up to the age of six numbered 526, about 14 per cent of the village.
